Privacy Policy

The short version
HexPulse does not collect, store or share any personal data. Your progress stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own iCloud account.
1. Introduction
HexPulse ("the App") is a puzzle game developed for iOS. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects (spoiler: none) and how it operates.
2. Information We Collect
We do not collect any personal information. The App does not:
- Require an account or login
- Collect your name, email address or any contact information
- Track your location
- Use analytics or tracking tools
- Use cookies or similar technologies
- Contain advertising or ad-tracking SDKs
- Access your camera, microphone, contacts or other device sensors
3. Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores the following data locally on your device to provide its core functionality:
- Level progress: which levels you have completed, your best scores and star ratings
- Game settings: your preferences for sound, haptics, visual effects and selected theme
- Daily streak: your consecutive Daily Circuit play count
- Challenge records: your Endless streaks, best Time Attack score and best Perfect Run per pack
- Purchase status: whether you have unlocked the Premium content (managed by Apple's StoreKit)
This data is stored on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework, with a small backup copy in the App's own settings storage (UserDefaults) so progress survives app updates. The home screen widget reads a summary of it on your device. It is not transmitted to us or any third party. If you use iCloud Backup or back up your device to a computer, this data is included in that backup, which is handled by Apple or your computer and not by us.
iCloud sync
If you are signed in to iCloud, the App keeps a copy of your level progress, Daily streak and best scores in your own iCloud account (iCloud key-value storage), so it is the same on your iPhone and iPad. This copy is stored and synced by Apple; we cannot see or access it. You can turn iCloud sync off in the App's Settings, or for all apps in your device's iCloud settings.
Daily reminder
If you turn on the Daily reminder, the App schedules a local notification on your device. No push notification service or server is involved.
This website
hexpulse.be does not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies. If you pick a language in the language menu, the site stores a small cookie (nf_lang) in your browser to remember your choice. It contains only the language code and is not used for anything else.
4. In-App Purchases
HexPulse offers an optional one-time in-app purchase to unlock Premium content. This transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store any payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs the handling of your purchase data: apple.com/legal/privacy.
5. Third-Party Services
The App does not integrate any third-party services, SDKs or APIs. There are no analytics platforms, crash reporting tools, social media integrations or advertising networks in the App.
6. Children's Privacy
The App does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The App is safe for all ages.
7. Data Sharing
We do not share any data with third parties because we do not collect any data in the first place.
8. Data Security
Your data is stored on your device, where it is protected by your device's own security measures (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, device encryption), and, if you use iCloud, in your iCloud account, where it is protected by Apple.
9. Your Rights
Since we do not collect or store any personal data on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, modify or delete. All game data can be removed with "Reset All Progress" in the App's Settings, which also clears the iCloud copy, or by deleting the App.
10. Offline Operation
HexPulse works entirely offline. No internet connection is required to play the game. The only time network access may be used is when making an in-app purchase through the App Store and, if you use iCloud, when Apple syncs your progress between your devices.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this Privacy Policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Since we do not collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly, so we encourage you to review this page periodically.
